Membership
The Greenwich Family YMCA is a life enriching community of members, volunteers and staff who come together from all backgrounds and stages of life to develop their spirits, minds and bodies in a warm and encouraging environment. Simply stated, the Greenwich Family YMCA builds strong kids, families and communities by instilling the core values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility.
Adult Membership
Adult membership is for those 18 years old and older. The membership fees include unlimited access to the Wellness Center with over 70 pieces of cardio and strength training equipment, over 70 hours of adult Wellness classes, free swim, adult lap swim and free gym time.
Family & Single-parent Family Memberships
Family memberships include one or two parents and dependent children 18 years and under. Nannies, au pairs or live-in baby sitters are not included in a Family Membership. Family Membership fees include over 70 weekly adult Wellness classes, access to the Wellness Center for ages 14 and older, adult lap swim, free/ open swim, free/ open gym, family gym and family swim, as well as several youth wellness classes and organized gym time.
Nanny/ Au Pair Membership
The membership fees include unlimited access to the Wellness Center with over 70 pieces of cardio and strength training equipment, over 70 weekly adult Wellness classes, free swim and adult lap swim, and free gym time. Nanny/ Au Pair must provide proof of current employment, such as a notarized letter from an employer or pay stub.
Senior Membership
Senior memberships include the same benefits as an adult membership at a reduced price for those 65 years and older.
Student Membership
Student memberships include the same benefits as an adult membership and are for those who are 14 years-old and older and who are full-time students. Students must provide proof of current high school or full-time college enrollment.
Youth Membership (6 weeks-13 years)
A Youth Membership is required for participation in any youth program if the child is not a Family Member. The Youth Membership allows the child access to sign up for the youth programs only. Participation in other family and youth activities such as family/ open gym, family/ open swim, or kids gym is permitted on a day to day basis if space is available and will require additional payment.

Guest Fees
Members are entitled to bring six (6) guests per year at no charge. After (6) visits, guest fees will be charged a the following rates. Guests must be accompanied by the member in order to receive one of their 6 free guests passes. Non-members who are not accompanied by a member must pay the daily rate listed below. They will be limited to six (6) visits per year. Picture I.D. is required.

Membership Policies
- Membership cards must be carried at all times and scanned at the Front Desk upon entering the facility. There is a $10 fee to replace a lost card.
- Annual membership renewals are due on the same anniversary every year.
- The Greenwich Family YMCA reserves the right to cancel any program that fails to meet minimum enrollment requirements.
- Schedules and rates are subject to change.
- Program fees are payable upon registration.
- The YMCA has personal trainers, exercise specialists and private swim instructors on staff. Use of other personal trainers or swim instructors is strictly prohibited.
- The Greenwich Family YMCA reserves the right to take pictures/ video of its participants for brochures/ publications and marketing purposes. If you would prefer not to be photographed, please let us know in writing.
- Cell phone use is allowed only in the Mason Street lobby and is forbidden in all other areas of the building including locker rooms and workout areas.
- Please respect other members by refraining from taking cell phone pictures at any time.
- Please set your cell phone to silent mode upon entering the YMCA.
- Memberships are non-transferable and membership dues are non-refundable.
Automatic Monthly Payment Plan
Automatic monthly payment plan: Membership dues are automatically deducted from a checking account or credit card (MC., Visa, or AmEx) account each month with your authorization. When joining, the first two months are required. The plan grants you continuous membership as long as you wish. The YMCA requires THIRTY (30) DAYS WRITTEN NOTICE to terminate a monthly draft. A $25 service charge will be applied for any declined bank drafts. Memberships are non-transferable and dues are non-refundable.
Annual Lump Sum Payment Plan
A one year membership can be purchased by paying with cash, check, VISA or MasterCard. MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Annual membership renewals are due on the same anniversary every year.
Locker Rentals
Lockers are available for rental in all locker rooms. Fees may be paid on an annual basis or automatically deducted from a checking account or credit card (MC, Visa or AmEx) account each month, but must be charged in the same manner as your membership dues. Long lockers are available for day-use only when you are in the building and using the facilities. Just bring your own lock and take it with you when you leave.
Parking
The Greenwich Family YMCA parking lot and garage are for use by members and their guests while using the facilities. All day parking is strictly prohibited.
A.W.A.Y Program & Reciprocity
Don’t want to miss a workout while on the road? Members of the Greenwich Family YMCA are welcome at more than 1,000 YMCAs nationwide. The A.W.A.Y Program encourages members to visit other participating YMCA’s 50 miles or more away. The Greenwich Family YMCA also has reciprocity with other Y’s in Connecticut. All guest privileges are subject to local policy.
Corporate Membership

Baby Sitting (6 months-12 years)
The Greenwich Family YMCA offers baby sitting for children 6 months to 12 years for a maximum stay of 90 minutes. Parents must remain in the YMCA facility and sign their child in and out. Punch Cards must be purchased at the Front Desk for $50/ 10 sessions. No food or beverages are allowed in the baby sitting area.

Cancellation/ Make Up Policy
- Classes that are cancelled by the YMCA due to instructor illness will be rescheduled for make-up if possible.
- Participants may only attend classes for which they are registered.
- Absences will not result in any refund of class fees.
- No make-up classes will be provided if the individual cannot make the scheduled dates and times of the program.
Refunds
- Membership fees are non-refundable.
- If a program is cancelled, all enrollees will receive a full refund of class fees only.
- If a participant cancels prior to the first class, a refund will be given less a $10 service charge.
- Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will not result in any refund of class fees.
Credits
- If a participant withdraws from a program during the first week of classes, a full program credit will be issued.
- If a participant withdraws during the second or third week of classes, a prorated credit will be issued.
- If a participant withdraws after the third week of classes, no credit will be issued.
- Program credit is redeemable towards programs within a one-year period.
Code of Conduct
The Greenwich Family YMCA is a membership organization that values personal responsibility, honesty, mutual respect and nonviolence. In joining, members agree to YMCA policies and are expected to abide by its rules. We ask that all individuals act appropriately at all times while in our facility or participating in YMCA programs. Please do not hesitate to notify a staff person if you need assistance. The YMCA will investigate all reported incidents. Suspension and/ or termination of YMCA membership privileges may result from any violation of the Code of Conduct.
