Training Levels

Training levels are determined by a combination of each diver’s age, ability, and commitment level. There is opportunity to move to advanced levels from session to session and all levels will have the chance to compete throughout the season. Placement for each level of training will be determined by the Head Coach through a scheduled evaluation.

Future Champions

Future Champions is a lessons program designed for the beginner diver with no diving experience as an introduction to the sport. Basic skills and fundamentals are emphasized. Future Champions will commit to 8 week sessions and dive one day per week for 45 minutes.

Fee: 8 weeks $260.00

Blue Team

The Blue Team is a beginner level team designed to continue teaching basics while learning a list of dives on 1-meter and an introduction to 3-meter. Blue Team divers will also have the opportunity to compete in the Tri-State League. The Blue Team level is intended to give each diver a chance to have fun learning diving at an easy and safe pace. Blue Team divers will commit to 10 week sessions and practice 2 days per week for 60 minutes.

Fee: 10 weeks $440.00

Gold Team

The Gold Team is an intermediate level that will continue to teach strong fundamentals while introducing optional dives on 1-meter and a list of dives on 3-meter. Gold  Team divers will also have the opportunity to compete in the Tri-State league (details below). The Gold Team level is intended to give each diver a chance to train at their own pace in a fun and safe environment. Gold Team divers will commit to 10 week sessions and practice 3 days per week for 90 minutes.

Fee: 10 weeks $695.00

Tri-State League

The Tri-State league offers the novice and intermediate diver an opportunity to compete against other teams in the Tri-state area in a stress-free competitive environment. Meets are scheduled throughout the season and the requirements for each age group are less intense than at the J.O. (Junior Olympic) level. A schedule for all Tri-State League meets is available upon request.

J.O. Team (Junior Olympic)

The J.O. Team is an advanced level of training with the intention of learning a J.O. list of dives on both 1-meter and 3-meter boards. The J.O. Team competes throughout the season at local and regional meets and invitationals with the goal of qualifying for Nationals. The J.O. Team will continue to learn strong fundamentals in addition to a full list of optional dives on both boards. The J.O. Team is a full-year commitment and practices are 4-5 days per week for 2 hours.

September 2009- August 2010 Fee: $2,600.00 full year

Practice and Training

Diving training for all levels includes a combination of dry-land conditioning and drill work, dry board and belt spotting, 1-meter and 3-meter diving training with an emphasis on basic diving fundamentals while learning new dives, video analysis through the use of TIVO, and the improvement of competitive skills. Practices and training are goal and result oriented, designed to build confidence from a strong foundation while guiding each diver toward reaching their maximum potential and competitive readiness.
