Looking for Lincoln Family Day: Feb. 13th

Bruce Museum, 1 Museum Drive, Greenwich, CT 

      The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, presents Looking for Lincoln Family Day from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010. Visitors can celebrate Abraham Lincoln’s 201st birthday and be some of the first to see the Bruce Museum’s newest exhibition, Lincoln, Life-Size, which opens to the public on February 13. Fun, educational activities for the entire family take place throughout the afternoon, including gallery hunts and craftmaking that includes making your own Abe Lincoln stovepipe hat, which he used as “mailbox”, made out of poster board. At 3 p.m. visitors can meet Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln in 1865, as live impersonators Larry and Mary Elliot describe and recount the Lincolns’ life stories and time in the White House. All activities are suitable for people of all abilities, ages 5 years and up. Free with Museum admission.

      The Bruce Museum is located at 1 Museum Drive in Greenwich, Connecticut. Admission is $7 
for adults, $6 for seniors and students, and free for children under five. Bruce Museum members are free. The Museum is located near Interstate-95, Exit 3, and a short walk from the Greenwich, CT, train station. Museum hours are: Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Mondays and major holidays. The Bruce Museum is accessible to individuals with disabilities.
