She began teaching dance in the Greenwich area in 1995 and received her BFA in Dance from Emerson College.<p> As a Greenwich native, Kate grew up dancing with Felicity Foote's Greenwich Ballet Workshop and traveled to Europe as part of the Performing Company. Kate began choreographing during her senior year at Greenwich High School as an SRO Dance Chair and continued to create pieces during her college career. While at Emerson, Kate both performed in and choreographed for Experimental Dance Projects and directed her Senior Thesis.<p> After graduating, Kate moved to Manhattan, NY, where she took classes at Broadway Dance Center and attended Teaching Workshops. In 2004, Kate left New York City in order to pursue her dream of running a dance school and formed the Greenwich Dance Studio, LLC.<p> Kate strives to make the Greenwich Dance Studio a place where students can foster their love of dance in a non-judgmental environment. It is a place where movement is recognized as a true art, welcoming other expressive mediums in collaboration.
