Their gift, a 77-acre parcel of land between Clapboard Ridge Road and Lake Avenue, is known today as Camp Simmons. The property was donated for use as a summer day camp for the Club and today serves more than 500 campers during the summer months. The property includes a lake, swimming pool, game room, changing room, hiking trails, archery range and more, all which contribute to its ongoing success as a summer camp program. </p><p>Ativities include:Archery and Canoeing Instruction, Swimming, Baseball, Kickball, Soccer, Nature Studies and Special Events. The program is on a volunteer basis and runs for all 9 weeks of summer camp. CIT&#39;s are trained to become future camp staff.
